Anna Mae (Myers) Smith 86 of West Union, WV passed away at the home of her daughter on March 24, 2012. She was born in Shirley, WV, on September 9, 1925, daughter of the late John H. and Lyndall (Underwood) Myers. On April 24, 1943 she married Billy Wayne Smith who preceded her in death on October 28, 1976.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie (June) of Columbus, OH, Jim (Sue) of Sissonville, WV and Mike of Rougemont, NC and her daughter, Deloris (Bob) Hutson of the Sedalia community; one sister, Mary (Bets) and her husband Elvy Underwood of Ralphs Run, West Union; one brother, Jim (Barbara) Myers of Madison, OH; one sister-in-law, Pearl Myers of Geneva, OH; six grandchildren, Andy (Robin) Smith of Columbus, OH, Annette Sue (John) Ward of Ft. Wright, KY, Todd (Crystal) Smith, Sissonville, WV, Dr. Anna (Jay) Allen, Morgantown, WV, Tatiana (Juan) Sonensein, Tampa, FL. and Alexia (Jesse) Olive-Venafra, Waterbury, VT; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John (Bill) and Alvy (Heavy) Myers, two infant sisters and two daughter-in-laws, Joyce and Laura Smith.
Anna Mae was a member of the West Union Church of Christ. She worked at Simon’s Dairy Mart and Monroe’s Diner in West Union.
