Anna M. Hirata (nee Watson) held her faith dear. She believed in this world and those who fill it, walking by faith, not by sight. Anne was vibrant, social, and gregarious, and with a gift of gab, she always had a story to tell and never wanted the party to end. She loved her “soapies”, house cleaning, and volunteering.
She volunteered for many years at Merchantville Day Care and for over 20 years at the lab at Jefferson Hospital. Also, in her earlier years, she worked as a school nurse at St. Cecilia’s and most recently, she was a housekeeper at St. Aloysius and St. Joseph the Worker.
Anne was born in Camden and had been a long time resident of Oaklyn and Pennsauken where she raised her family prior to moving to Lansdale, PA. Anne loved music, singing, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Most recently, she had enjoyed making new friends and being part of the Songsters and other activities at Brittany Pointe in Lansdale.
Anne is the widow of her late husband, of 51 years, Ed Hirata, and is survived by her children Ed & his wife Kathy Hirata and Patricia & her husband Bill Fischer. She is the proud grandmother of: Billy & his wife September Fischer, Katie & her husband Antonio Yerena, Laura & her husband David Boe, Faith Hirata, Luke Hirata, and great grandmother of: Jasmyne, Jaylynn, Chase, Connor, Finnegan, Brendan, and Ana. Anne is also survived and will be sadly missed by her brother Samuel Watson. She was predeceased by her siblings; Jack Watson, Ellen Shircliffe, and Betty Bowne.
On January 27, 2022, after 91 wonderful years, Anne’s soul had risen to glory to her place with the Angels.
