Anna (Gram) Frese Hitchcock, 95

West Sand Lake-Anna (Gram) Frese Hitchcock, 95,of Locke Road, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at the age of 95 having just celebrated her birthday with her whole family around her.

Anna was born in Brooklyn, NY weighing 2lbs. 2ozs. at a time when survival was unbelievable.

She was wife of the late Walter (Bob) Hitchcock and is survived by her daughter, Carol Parks of Feura Bush and Delmar; her grandsons, Dale Tiedman (Wendy), David Tiedman (Stacey, her devoted caretaker and guardian angel) and Donald Tiedman and Megan Desmarais (Kevin) and her great grandchildren, Kenneth, Joel and Kathryn Tiedman. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elsie Reynolds and Dorothy Schrump.

Anna (Gram) worked for the phone company in Manhattan, Faith Mills in Averill Park and Schrump’s Store in Dunham Hollow for several years. She also worked at the Trinity Lutheran Church Day School in West Sand Lake, sewed softballs and baseballs for DeBeers and was a caregiver for Mrs. Burkhart in West Sand Lake. Since 1993 she was the voice of Glass World in West Sand Lake, her grandson Dale’s business until last year at the age of 94. She raised 3 generations of children who loved and respected her greatly.
