Anna Lee Wheeler Witte, of Palestine, was called home to her eternal residence in Heaven, on Saturday, the 8th day of February, 2020. She passed away three days before her 90th birthday at Legacy of Town Creek at the age of 89. Mrs. Witte was born on the 11th day of February, 1930, in Benton County, Missouri, to Noble Wheeler and Mary Jenkins Wheeler.
Mrs. Witte was a spiritual leader in the home and centered her life around family. It was a source of unimaginable joy to see her children reach adulthood and to live to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas and more recently First Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank J. Witte, Jr.; son, Jack Witte; one sister and five brothers.
Mrs. Witte is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Fletcher and husband Ralph of Reno, Nevada; daughter-in-law, Joyce Witte Foster and husband Kerry Foster of Shreveport, Louisiana; sons, Jim Witte and wife Charlotte of Somerville, Texas, Dr. Tom Witte and wife Angela of Palestine, Texas; brother, Paul Wheeler and wife Marian of Appleton City, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
