Anna Laura (Pedersen) Kennedy died Thursday March 24, 2016 peacefully in Mt. Holly, NJ at the age of 88. Born on May 7, 1927 in Abington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Halftan and Herta Marie Pedersen. Anne, as she preferred to be called, was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s successes in life, and continued to enjoy her passion for music and singing throughout her life, having served as choir director at the Pennsauken United Methodist Church in her early years and lately singing with the “Mellotones” at the Masonic Home of NJ in Burlington, to where she moved after residing in Pennsauken for over 50 years. Anne was a past Worthy Matron of the Audubon Chapter and the Athene Chapter #201 OES and a past Grand Officer of the Grand Chapter OES of NJ. She was the devoted wife of the late William Hamilton Kennedy, Jr., for over 61 years.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses: William H. and Kathy Kennedy of Kendall Park, NJ and Mark P. and Barbara-Jean Kennedy of Pennington, NJ, three grandchildren and their spouses: Christopher Kennedy (Katie), Brandon Kennedy (Megan) and Stefanie Francis (Joe) as well as three great-grandsons. Also surviving are her sisters Marie, Ruth and Alma and many nieces and nephews.
