Anna L. Emmons Age 89 of Laingsburg passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. A memorial service will be held 11am Monday, August 18, 2014 at Owosso First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ray Strawser officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9am until the time of service.Anna was the daughter of Bernard and Harriet Sherwood born in Diamondale, MI on February 18, 1925.She married Glenn Emmons on January 31, 1943; he predeceased her in 2005.She was a homemaker and spent her life raising and caring for her family.Anna enjoyed reading and doing crafts; especially sewing and knitting. She spent many years as a Girl Scout leader and volunteer. Most of all Anna looked forward to spending time with her family.She is survived by her children Judy (Chris) Helms, Russ Emmons (Lillian), Kathy Rose and Patty (Lon) Smith; 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband Glenn, parents Bernard and Harriet and 5 brothers and sisters.Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
