Anna L. Crum, age 96, of Salem died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home. She was born May 30, 1918 in Hickory, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Thurman and Caroline (Cummins) Criss. Anna last worked as an aid at the Hutton’s Nursing Home for 10 years. She had also worked at the Youngstown Steel Door and the Gregg’s Nursing Home. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church, Salem Senior Citizens, and a 30-year member of TOPS. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. Her husband, Earland A. Crum, preceded her in death on February 13, 1988, they were married June 20, 1936. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Crum; daughter, Katherine Prendergast; sisters, Ella Pulley, Kate McCoy and Dorothy Criss; and brothers, Chuck, Art, Bill, Pat, Jim, Dave, Ted and John Criss. Survivors include sons, Earland Leroy Crum of Sebring and Gary Crum of Youngstown; a sister, Margaret Kurtz of Beloit; a brother, Fred Criss of Georgia; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 16 great great-grandchildren.
