Anna Jean (Farrell) Feely, 92, a resident of Woodridge Supportive Living Residence, died at 6:46 a.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014, at the Woodridge Supportive Living Residence. She was born on August 17, 1921, in Galesburg, IL.
The daughter of John & Catherine (Scully) Farrell. She married Joseph E. Feely on October 18, 1941, in Kirksville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1990.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patricia (Feely) Nicklaus, and seven brothers and sisters. Jean is survived by four daughters and one son, Colleen Trask, of Marietta, GA, Sharon (Myron) Shreeves of Knoxville, IL, Sheila Crist of Galesburg, Joseph E. (Linda) Feely, II of Wataga, IL and Ellen (Bill) Milnamow of Wheaton, IL; 19 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She lived in Galesburg all of her life. She graduated in 1939 from St. Joseph Academy. She attended Brown’s Business College. She was a homemaker and also worked at the May Company and Cottage Hospital. She was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Church. She was a 73-year member of St. Patrick’s Altar & Rosary Society. She was a 50-year member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters. She was also a Knox County Election Judge for many years.
