Anna E. Lowe, 80, of Virginia, IL died Friday, June 6, 2014 at Passavant Area Hospital In Jacksonville, IL.
She was born May 11, 1934 in Cass County, the daughter of Albert and Laura Eagle Walton. She married Wayne Lowe on October 30, 1954 in Virginia and he survives.
She is also survived by two sons, Gary Lowe and Mike Lowe, both of Virginia; three grandchildren, Holly Lowe (husband, Andy) of Jacksonville, Kali Sherwood (husband, Brad) of Anger, NC, and Evin Lowe of Virginia; four great grandchildren, Jack Lowe and Brayden, Rylan, and Emily Sherwood; a brother, Albert Walton of Peoria; a sister, Betty Browning of Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Helen Roudebush, Ethel Anderson, Pauline Dahme, and Mabel Walton; and two brothers, Marion and Bradley Walton.
Mrs. Lowe was a 1952 graduate of Virginia High School and had been employed in past years at Virginia Country Club, Capitol Records, and Barton W. Stone Home prior to her years as a homemaker. She was a member of Jacksonville Assembly of God Church and had devoted many hours to support of the church’s mission work.
