Anna Dorothy Morey (Ellis) 77, born on February 7, 1944, in the car on the way to the hospital. She died at home on 12/12/2021 surrounded by her children. Anna recently moved back to the Delco area, but her heart was always back in her home on the lake in Drums, PA. She fought a long hard battle and was brave right up to the end. Anna grew up the third oldest of nine siblings. Daughter of William Ellis and Anna Dorothy Ellis (Strawley) both deceased and Siblings–William Ellis (deceased), Mary Carter (deceased), Samuel Ellis (deceased), Elizabeth Ellis, Harry Ellis (deceased), Franny Delarm, Ruth Dettmann and Tilly Shaw-Duke. She loved to follow her dad around the house while he worked just to spend time with him, but it also taught her numerous skills such as how to paint and cut trim. She married her high school sweetheart—David H. Morey Sr. They would have been married 60 years in February. They had 5 children- David (Barb) Morey Jr; William (Laura) Morey, Debra Morey, Keith (Stacey) Morey, and Kim Rhoads (Tom). They had 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Anna stayed home to raise her children and was always available if you needed a helping hand with your children. After her family was raised, she worked at Widener University as a post mistress which she loved. Anna loved doing crafts, sewing, puzzles, and using the skills she learned from her dad to help her husband build their dream home on the lake at Beech Mountain. Anna was truly the Proverbs 31 woman,” A woman of noble character who can find? She is worth far more then rubies”! Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as friends and family will surely miss her but know she is no longer in pain and is now together again with the love of her life.
