Anna Belle Rice, 101, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.
Anna was born on October 8, 1918, in Whitley County, IN, to Thomas A. and Mercy A. (Angelmyre) Hartley.
Her parents preceded her in death. She married Fred B. Rice on December 25, 1938, at Church of God, Huntington, IN. and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1999.
Anna was a homemaker. She was known for her crochet, knitting, and needlepoint work and her family was blessed to have a lot of her pieces. She loved to ride along with her husband Fred and sit in the truck when he worked. She loved to watch basketball and she particularly liked IU and the NBA.
Anna is survived by one sister, Edith L. Scheerer, Huntington, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Dunnuck, John J. Hartley, William “Sam” Hartley; and four sisters, Laura Heister, Betty Stoffel, Frances Collet and Ruth Miller.
