Anna B. Vardakas, age 97, a longtime resident of Bristol, peacefully passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at Jefferson House of Newington. She was born June 1911 to the late Apostolis and Katerina Bozicas. A Bristol resident for 69 years, she was an active founding member of St.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is survived by her children, Elaine Rallis of Salisbury MA, Spiro Vardakas and his wife Helen, of Westfield MA; six grandchildren, Cheryl Alterman and her husband Allan of Ridgewood NJ, Diane Molokotos and her husband Thanasis of Easton CT, Kim Clifton and her husband Mark of Ashton MD, Karen Pfingst and her husband Stephen of Salisbury MA, Lee Vardakas and his wife Nicole of Longmeadow MA, and Pamela Marshall and her husband Phil of Newburyport MA; twelve great grandchildren, Elena, Geoffrey, Michelle, Alexandra, Conrad, Cameron, Nicholas, James, Jared, Madeline, Laurel, and Will. Besides her parents, Anna was predeceased by her loving husband, Lazo, and four sisters and two brothers.
