Ann Hedger Watkins, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Rockledge, Florida surrounded by her loving family. From her birth in Winchester, Kentucky on July 4, 1941, to her passing on Tuesday she filled the people around her with love as a compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of many. Ann especially enjoyed working with children including caring for her own grandchildren and later working in the baby room of her daughter’s daycare. She also served in life as a nurse, and as the mother of her family’s home. Ann was quiet by nature, but the unconditional love and care she gave to others spoke loudest about how truly special she was to everyone in her life. Her gentle smile, warm heart, and kind soul will be missed by her family and friends until they are reunited in heaven with our Lord.
Left to honor Ann are her three children Debbie (J.R.) Frick, Theresa (Bob) Steinmetz, and Don (Kathy) Watkins; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frankie Payne. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Reed and her son Ray.
