Miss Ann V. Heffernan, age 93, of Cherrywood Dr. Milford, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Milford. Daughter of the late John and Nora (Leonard) Heffernan, she was born on April 15, 1916 in New York, New York. Ann was a retired Administrative Assistant having worked for the Department of Social Security in Bridgeport for many years.
Survivors include her devoted niece and nephew Ursula Hayes and her husband John of Milford, and John Heffernan and his wife Eileen of Westwood, NJ; four grandnephews Michael Hayes and his wife Meghean of Orange, John Hayes of Milford, Robert Hayes and his wife Kristen of Woodbridge, and Brennan Heffernan of Westwood, NJ; three grandnieces Mary Hewitt of Milford, Patricia Gargiulo and her husband Michael of Cheshire and Shannon Heffernan of Westwood, NJ. She is also survived by ten great-grandnieces and grandnephews Charise and Charles Hewitt, Patrick, Kerry, Brendan, Sean, & Clare Hayes, Jennifer, Michael & Brian Gargiulo. She was predeceased by two brothers John Heffernan & Robert Dillon and a sister Mary Heffernan Wallace.
