Ann Teresa Schrameck Taylor Florek, 90, life-long Troy resident, born August 8, 1928, in Troy, IL, daughter of J. Frederick and Anna (Feeney) Schrameck, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Tesson Heights Senior Living, St. Louis, MO.
Ann was a long-time faithful member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, IL, Madison County Farm Bureau, board member of Trojan Enterprises, Inc., and Dutch Taylor, LLC. She graduated from McCray-Dewey High School as the 1946 Homecoming Queen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Florek, whom she married on March 25, 1985, and who passed away March 1, 2018.; and John T. (Jack) Taylor, whom she married on October 19, 1946; her parents; brother, Eugene Schrameck, and sisters, Virginia Crites, Cathy (Imelda) Rivas, Barbara Lowry, and Gladys Long Jordan.
Surviving are her five children, Patricia Willette, Kathleen Barnes, Jo Ann (Rich) Buddemeyer, Nancy Fiesler, James (Melissa) Taylor; step-daughters, Kathleen (Mark) Kalb, Susan (Chris) Seibel; grandchildren, Alicia (Darin) Lee, Jennifer (Dwayne) Hilton, Matthew (Jessica) Buddemeyer, Joseph (Elizabeth) Buddemeyer, Meghan Buddemeyer, and fiance’ Scott Kaverman, Amanda (Ryan) Fiesler-Bordewick, Meredith (Eric) Hottinger, Lance (Shelby) Taylor, Lindsay Taylor and special friend, Cole Maxfield, Andrew Kalb, Luke, Maria, and Elliot Seibel; great-grandchildren, Jack and Ruby Lee, Isaiah, Rebekah, and Benjamin Hilton, Jemma and Brantley Buddemeyer, Duncan Luster and Calvin Buddemeyer, Hudson and Emilia Hottinger, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ann’s hobbies were extensive baking and cooking of family recipes, reading and refining recipes to perfect the savory and sweetness of the dish, music, singing, nurturing small children and the specific interests of her family members, family archivist, Canasta cards with friends, and flower gardens, especially roses. She became a Cardinal baseball fan and listened to Dwayne (Jennifer) Hilton play the organ.
