The world suffered a great loss when my cousin, Ann Merrell passed away on March 30, 2016.Ann was a courageous woman who made her own way in the world and never took NO as the answer to anything. She was before her time in that she had a PhD in Applied Mathematics and worked as a Nuclear Engineer at a time when most women were not in the work force. She had a brilliant questioning mind and continued to learn and discover all her life. And she was a fiercely loyal friend.She also had a great sense of humor. While discussing her plans for the future she said, “I will be content to sit in my urn in my niche and contemplate the Universe, Unicorns and Dragons!”
