Ann Marie Crowder, 62, of Goshen, passed away peacefully at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, May, 30, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, following an extended illness.

She was born in Detroit on June 20, 1952, to the late Alexander and Irene (Wroblewski) Serowik.

She married Thomas E. Crowder on Jan. 6, 1974, in Kokomo. He survives at home.

Also surviving are her children, Lisa (Michael) Filbert of Elkhart, Jeffrey (Shawna) Crowder of South Bend and Christopher (Lisa) Crowder of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers Alexander Serowik of Casey, Ill., John Serowik of Kokomo and Mike Serowik of Noblesville; sister Susan Serowik of Carmel; and grandchildren Isabella and Abigail Filbert, Lillian, Emma and Alexander Crowder, and Alexander, Austin and Sean Crowder.

Over the past 30 years, Ann worked in the accounting departments of several area businesses, including Midwest Commerce Bank, the Riegsecker Group, Starcraft Van Conversions, Pace America and Liberty Homes. She recently received her bachelor’s degree in business from Goshen College in 2012, graduating cum laude.

In her earlier years she was a prolific crocheter, but always remained an excellent cook and avid reader. She was friendly and outgoing and loved activities that involved her children. In her free time she could be found on her boat with her family and little sidekick, Scooter the shih tzu, motoring around Sylvan Lake in Rome City.
