STEELE, Ann Lou Of Portage. Ann passed away on May 5, 2012. The wife of William A. Steele, Ann graduated from Marshall College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a minor in Journalism and moved to Pittsburgh with her husband to start her career and family.
After working in the advertising business for a few years, Ann and Bill started their family and she shifted her focus to raising her family and pursuing a love of the arts. She loved to write – drafting children’s stories and cookbooks – and was an accomplished china painter, ceramic painter and jewelry designer.
Ann was a loving mother with a wonderful sense of humor who set a strong example for her kids. She is survived by her three sons, a daughter and their spouses: Greg and Ann Steele, Mark and Jean Steele, Kim and Mike Bielski, Scott and Kerry Steele, 17 grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed.
