Ann Louise “Babe” (née Vasconcellos, Clifford) Turner passed away peacefully at the age of 85 after a brief illness.
Ann was born March 6, 1936, the daughter of Anthony Vasconcellos and Mary “Mae” (née McGuire). She was raised in East Boston and Winthrop where she was a cheerleader, an ice skater and an athlete graduating in 1953, after forging lifelong friendships. She went on to work a number of jobs including as a secretary and as a clerk in Peabody City Hall and for the IRS.
After moving to Peabody in the early 1960s, she & Tom went on to raise their children and create close friendships with their neighbors on Heath Road.
Ann was a traveler, crocheter, avid reader, crafter, bowler, baker, and lover of all card games. She cherished playing cribbage with Tom, and never passed up an opportunity to play card games for quarters with her Aunt Lorraine. She was especially good at keeping in touch with family and friends.
