Ann H. Burns, age 81, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 28, 1940, in Freeport, the daughter of William and Florence (Jackson) Cunningham.
Ann moved to Geneva, Illinois in 1974 and immediately invested her time, talent and treasure by volunteering for the betterment of the schools, park district and city. Ann and her husband, John, helped on school and park district referenda and co-founded the Geneva Vikings All Sports Boosters Club as well as serving on Geneva High School’s Prom and Post Prom Committee. Ann served on the City of Geneva’s Planning Commission and was a candidate for the City Council.
She is survived by her children John (Autumn) of Colorado, Brian (Trish), Kevin (Aimee), and Colleen (Douglas) Cuscaden all of Geneva; grandchildren Liam, Aidan, Anna, Renner, and Florence Burns, Molly (Andy) Kobler, Emma (Marc) Farmer, Grace (Aaron) White; and Theodore, Patrick, and Bennett Cuscaden; great-grandchildren Micah, Bosco, and Murphy White; siblings Mary Kessler, Pat Cunningham, Tim (Patty) Cunningham, and Kathy (Barry) Sammons; and many other dear relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband John who passed away in 2019.
