Ann E. Shidaker, died at St. Joseph regional Medical Center January 13, 2022. She was Born September 1, 1943 in Satrup Germany to Konrad and Anastazya (Kaleniak) Musialik. Her parents, polish Nationals, were detained by the Third Right, to labor in Germany. The family immigrated to South Bend in 1951. Growing up on West Fisher Street Ann attended St. Adalbert’s grade school, she graduated with Washington High School’s Class of 1962, She graduated from from Holy Cross School of Nursing, and received bachelors degree form St. Francis University.
On January 19, 1980 Ann marred Gerald L. Shidaker, at St. Adalbert’s Church in South Bend. Indiana Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother George K. Musilak Sr. She is survived by her husband Gerald L. Shidaker, two Nieces, Suzanne Musialik Bentonhoff, and Arny S. Nixon,and two nephews, George£. Musilak Jr. and Thomas J. Shidaker. Along with great nieces, great nephews, and cousins in Poland.
Ann worked as a Registered Nurse in Chicago, Sarasota Florida, Honolulu Hawaii, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and was retired from Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
Ann enjoyed traveling, she visited Europe, South East Asia, Alaska, The Caribbean and many interesting places in in the United states and Canada.
Ann also enjoyed memberships in the Polish American Congress, The polish Professional and Business Women’s Association, She served on the Scholarship committee of the Chopin Fine Arts Club, and attended the polonaise Class at Forever Learning Institute.
