Ann Kennedy Crane, of Newnan, passed from this life into the presence of her Savior and Lord at Piedmont Newnan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, just before noon Tuesday, May 3, 2016. She was born in Washington, DC on December 24, 1938.
Her father, Melvin Salem Kennedy, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as Lt. Colonel in aerial reconnaissance and was a photographer and inventor. After his untimely death, her mother, Margaret Titus Kennedy, worked hard to support her only daughter until a Providential day in 1957 when Ann caught the eye of a young US Marine Corps Sergeant, Bill Crane. The rest has been our story: one of a loving and devoted wife and mother who delighted in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.
She loved animals, especially her dogs, and for a while owned and operated a successful dog grooming shop in Stone Mountain. Mrs. Crane is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, William; her loving children David Crane & wife Deb, Mike Crane & wife Tracey, and Sharon Crane; precious grandchildren Bob, Caitlin, Ethan; Jayme Clune & husband RJ and great-grandson Jordan Clune.
