Ann Arndorfer, age 54, of Burt, Iowa passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Exceptional Opportunities in Burt. Ann Marie Arndorfer, the daughter of Melvin and Ida Mae (Kutschara) Arndorfer, was born on July 17, 1965 in Britt, Iowa. Ann lived at home until the age of 9. She then entered foster care at Sheppard’s Cottage when it opened in 1974. She attended Peter Pan School in Algona and graduated from Exceptional Opportunities School in Burt in 1986. Ann moved to West Home in September of 1981 where she then worked in the Options Program until it dissolved in 2016. She enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music, looking at books and magazines and swimming at the swimming pool. Left to cherish Ann’s memory are her mother, Ida Mae; siblings, Lori Potter and her husband James of Dubuque, Kevin Arndorfer and his wife Maria of Algona; nieces and nephews, Veronica, Stella and Emily Arndorfer, Rose (Chase) Schmitt, Daniel Potter, Mandy Potter and Sarah (Fiancé Jimmy) Potter and grandniece, Sophie Schmitt. She was preceded in death by her father Melvin in 2013; grandparents, George and Louise Arndorfer and John and Lucille Kutschara; uncles, Loren Arndorfer and Al Kohlhaas; and uncle and aunt Bill & Bobbie Welter.
