Anita V. Porras, 86, Columbus resident passed away Wednesday December 23, 2015 at her home.
Anita was born July 26, 1929 to Ana Laura Arellano and Guillermo Varela in Colonia Hidalgo, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church and a homemaker who had a love for her children and extended family.
She is survived by 3 sons, Raul Porras and wife, Priscilla of Deming, Ines Porras and wife, Maria of Columbus and Sergio Porras; 6 daughters, Virginia Porras of Mexico, Lucila Gonzalez and husband, David of Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Graciela Granillo of Deming, Maria Zamora and husband Modesto of Columbus, Josie Cardenas and husband Jacinto of Silver City and Delma Madrid and husband Eduardo of Deming; 35 grandchildren and 88 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Guillermo and Anna Laura Varela, husband, Jose Lopez Porras and 3 daughters, Leticia Mejia, Manuela Saldivar and Socorro Martinez.
