Anita Marie Dixon went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2020. Anita was born on December 12, 1965 and grew up in Baltimore City. She was never married nor had biological children of her own but was “Aunt Nee Nee” to many that love her as much as she loved them. She graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1983. Anita moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1993. She recently returned to the Maryland area for cancer treatment and family support. She was diagnosed on May 6, 2019 with stage four breast cancer. During her treatment, she openly shared her story and her journey with others. She was an extraordinary poet and it was her greatest joy to write and share her works. She wrote every moment she could and passed along wisdom. She worked in many professions such as bartending, retail, and house remodeling. She enjoyed taking care of people and had a kind soul. She believed in helping others and enjoyed life in Norfolk, Virginia. She stayed connected to those she loved and missed by staying active on her Facebook page, sharing moments of her journey, her day-to-day, and her final days.

She leaves to mourn her sudden and unexpected passing, her mother, Betty Jean Faulcon; her sister, Tangela Torain Myers (brother-in-law: Christopher Myers), her aunt, Eva Williams; her nieces, Clarissa Redd and Crystal Myers; her nephews, William Hogan, Jr. and Chris Torain; her great nephews, Dijon Matthews, Crystian Myers-Broadway and Mason Phelps; her special friends, Barbara Jackson, Sharon Goodman, Randolph Green and many friends and family in Maryland and Virginia.
