Anita Louise Owen Wallace, 56, Anderson, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on July 23, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born January 11, 1947 in Anderson, and lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker, and was a teacher and director at Countryside Daycare in Lapel. She was a faithful member of the Alexandria Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren watching them grow. She was always willing to help others before herself.
She is survived by her Husband whom she married September 5, 1970: Lewis ”Wally” Wallace. Daughter: Rebecca Castleberry & husband Todd of Little Rock, Arkansas. Sons: Daniel Wallace & wife Tonya of Charleston, Illinois. Matthew Wallace of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Stepdaughter: Kim Powers & husband Raymond of Worth, Illinois. Grandchildren: Bailey & Kenady Wallace of Charleston, Illinois. William Castleberry of Little Rock, Arkansas. Step grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Emily, Eryn and Kacey Powers of Worth, Illinois. Sister: Lois Montgomery of Anderson. Brother: Joe Owen & wife Shirley of Daleville. Brother-in-law: Otis Stiwinter & wife Rosemary of Charleston, West Virginia. Several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded by her Parents: Joseph & Dora Ethel Shelton Owen. Sister: Velma Stiwinter.
