Anita L. (Robbins) Fernandes of New Hampshire formerly of Carver, passed away at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in New Hampshire on December 25, 2020 at the age of eighty-one. She was the beloved wife of sixty-one years to the late Thomas P. Fernandes, Jr. She was the loving mother of Thomas Fernandes and his wife Sherry of New Jersey, Robert Fernandes of Peabody, Ronald Fernandes and his wife Marsha of Carver, Susan Baribeault and her husband Gary of New Hampshire, Wendy Saunders and her husband David of Carver and the late Joseph Fernandes. She was the cherished grandmother of Joshua Baribeault and Tobey (Naomi) Fernandes. She was the sister of Betty Rodrigues of Marshfield, Priscilla Rodrigues of Scituate, Anthony Monteiro of Kingston, Jeanie Andrews of Plymouth and Dolores Salyards of New Hampshire. Anita was born on December 16, 1939 in Canton, OH. Her parents were the late Manuel and Louise (Jenkins) Robbins. She was a 1957 graduate of Plymouth High School. She worked for Ocean Spray and then later as a secretary at Plymouth-Carver High School for many years. Anita enjoyed gardening and puzzles. She was an avid quilter and seamstress and taught sewing for the 4-H organization and at New England Baptist Academy. She loved traveling to Amish Country which became a yearly visit.
