Angie was born on October 2, 1950, in Manila, Philippines to Bernardo and Gloria (Agdipa) Denofra.
Angie worked hard for and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching and taught at Manila Science High School where she impacted countless youths to strive for and achieve their career goals. And to help her parents support the family, she also tutored to make extra money. She was also involved with the University Track team where she earned a spot on the Olympic team that led her to the United States for the Summer Olympics in 1984, an amazing accomplishment for anyone’s lifetime. This embarked on another chapter in Angie’s life where she ended up staying in the U.S.
While in the U.S. Angie was not able to continue teaching, yet again with hard work and determination, she earned her realtors license in 1988. Working for Century 21 for over 20 years, she helped many families achieve the American dream in owning a home. Angie had a passion for cooking and putting smiles on those she fed, always making sure she sent them home with extra food. She also had a passion for anyone willing to go fishing for her so she would have fresh fish to cook. She enjoyed being with family, watching her Filipino programs, and speaking her native tongue, Tagalog any chance she got. Her main passion was practicing her Catholic faith in which her children witnessed and experienced alongside her growing up. That strong faith made her a fighter, especially when it came to battling cancer. She was able to beat cancer three times, with the help of a bone marrow transplant that kept her in remission.
