Angelina DiMeglio, age 87, of Norwalk, late wife of the late Carlo Umberto DiMeglio, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 27, 2011. Born in Norwalk, CT, and raised in Serrara Fontana di Ischia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francisco DiMeglio and Immaculata Scarzella. She dedicated many years of employment to Trudy Toys and Swank Leather Goods.
Angelina was known for her incredible strength and persistent courage. The moments spent with her family are what she loved most in life, especially cooking Sunday dinners. Angelina also enjoyed jarring homegrown tomatoes, baking, and needle point sewing.
Angelina is survived by her son Luigi P. DiMeglio and his wife Liliana of Norwalk, 2 cherished grandchildren Christina M. DiMeglio and Luigi E. DiMeglio; a sister Immaculata Iacono of Norwalk, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Dina Iacono and Marie DiMeglio.
