Angelina “Angie” (Casarola) Bostrom, 92, of New Britain and recently Wethersfield, sadly passed away on Sunday March 14, 2021 with family by her side. Born in New Britain, CT where she was a longtime resident, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Victoria (Radicci) Casarola. Angie graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, received her Bachelor of Arts from CCSU, and began her career at McCook Hospital in Hartford where she worked during the polio epidemic. She continued her nursing career at New Britain General Hospital, now The Hospital of Central Connecticut, for over 50 years before retiring as night supervisor and then volunteering for several years after. She was famous among all friends and family for her cooking – especially her Italian spaghetti sauce and apple pie. Angie was a legend at the sewing machine, master of doll houses and knitting, and an avid scrapbooker.Angie was blessed with one daughter, JoAnn Bostrom, a son, Robert “Bob” Bostrom, who predeceased her and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, 4 grandchildren (Leys, Ashley, Allison and Elliott), and 5 great-grandchildren Colt, Vivian, Georgina, Clay, and William. She also leaves behind her sister Rita Casarola, her beacon of light in recent years and sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and John Fosgrau.
