Mrs. Hill peacefully passed away at her daughter’s residence. She is the wife of Mr. Laverne Hill.

Angela Bernice Hill was born November 27, 1958 in Bath, Maine. She was the second child born to loving parents, Elouise and Johnny Lee Pride, Sr. The Pride family relocated to Puerto Rico, where Angela attended grade school. Several years later, the family made San Diego, California their new home. Angela graduated from Castle Park High School in 1977.

In June of 1980, Angela met the love of her life, Laverne Hill. On January 2, 1982 they were united in marriage. Their union was blessed with a son, Dumaka Jamal Hill.

Angela was a faithful servant of Jehovah for over fifteen joyful years. She dedicated her life to Jehovah on January 24, 1998 at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Angela zealously preached Jehovah’s Good News at any given opportunity. Whenever you spoke with Sister Hill, she would never hold back on telling you about Jehovah. You could always hear and feel her warm encouragement to strengthen the faith of her spiritual brothers and sisters and anyone she met along the way.

Angela was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her mother. On Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 5:30 P.M., Angela Bernice Hill passed away with her family at her side. She is survived by her loving husband, Laverne Hill; her father, Johnny L. Pride; her children: daughter, Elizabeth Fuller and her husband, Sean; son, Darnell Curry and his fiancAC., Monica Lopez; son, Dumaka Hill; daughter, Fatima Hill; stepdaughters, Latrina Carter and Daniell Carter; brother, Johnny Pride, Jr. and his wife, Debra; sister, Kim Pride; grandchildren, Raechaniel Hall, Mariah Hall, Sumiko Hall, Danica Curry, Jayden Turner, Domanyk Johnson, Camille Fuller, McKeena Curry, Angela Hill and Aleena Ballard; nieces and nephews, Dante Pride, Phylicia Applewhite, Nigel Applewhite, Patrice Applewhite, Chaz Pride and a host of other relatives and many friends.
