Angela Catrina Ansaldo, age 85, passed away January 3, 2009. She was born April 21, 1923 in San Remo, Italy. She was taken prisoner by the Germans at the age of 21 for bravely saving her brother. She was injured by a bomb which ironically saved her life because she was released to her family. She met her husband while he was stationed in Italy and came to the states in 1956, where they lived in San Antonio. In 1969 they moved to Boerne. She was preceded in death by her husband Aviano J. Ansaldo. She is survived by her sons Adrian and his wife Patti, Albert and his wife LuAnne, and Archie and his wife Cindy. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Russell Baker, Adri Baker, Angi Ansaldo, and Amber Ansaldo. She had an independent spirit and loved cooking, fishing, gardening, and being with her family. She had a very blessed and full life and loved the Lord.
