Annette Kathy Lis, 35, of West Hartford, CT, passed away unexpectedly on October 9th, 2022. She leaves behind her parents, Stanley and Renata Lis, her sister Julie Tackus and brother-in-law Jason, as well as her paternal grandparents Antonina and Władysław Lis, and maternal grandmother Zdzisława Faryńska, who resides in Poland.
Annette attended the West Hartford Public Schools, graduating in 2005 from Conard High School. Post-graduation, she traveled across the United States, spending several years in Colorado, California, and Boston before returning home to Connecticut to pursue her passion of helping others through a career in healthcare. She was a deeply compassionate person who could light up any room with her smile and her contagious giggle. Annette was devoted to caregiving, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Southington Care Center for the past six years where she cared wholeheartedly for all her residents.
When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her nieces, Cameron and Olivia Tackus, who brought her so much joy. Annette loved and took comfort in her cat, Pretty. She looked forward to visiting new places and traveling, especially to beach destinations. Old Orchard Beach, Maine always had a special place in her heart.
Annette is survived by many loved ones, including very close aunts, uncles and cousins whom she adored and loved spending time with. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
