Andrez P. Moya, 67, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 10, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his father Paul Moya and mother Mary Leyba.

Andrez is survived by his wife of 47 years Maria Moya; son Anthony Moya (Lorie); daughters: Theresa Lopez (Stevie), Alicia Moya; brother Gilbert Moya (Pat); sisters: Emily Archuleta, Pauline Castillo, Sylvia Olivieri (Jess); grandchildren: Tony, Estevan, Issac, Elias, Angel, Isaiah, Alyssa, Janessa, Josiah, Everly, and Jordan.

Andres was a loving husband, father, and talented musician. Andrez was part of the New Mexican music scene, performing with well known bands throughout the state of New Mexico for the local fiesta‘s, private events, and music festivals. His talents had been recognized and earned him multiple awards including a New Mexico Hispanic Association Award for Bilingual Song of the year with Black Pearl Band. He was the true heartbeat of the these bands. He played the drums, but also showed off his talent as a harmonizer and singer. He played a varity of music that ranged from rancheras, tejano, Motown oldies, disco , R&B and Christian. After many years in the New Mexico music industry forming and being part of new and old bands, he decided to form a Christian band and give himself wholeheartedly to God who blessed him with these many talents. He felt it was a way to show how much he loved his God and wanted to spread the word of God through his music.

Andrez will not only be remembered by his family for the loving, kind, and generous man that he was, but he will also be remembered in the community by all the people that he’s touched through his passion for music and through his love for God.
