Andrew Michael Beisel was born on September 10, 1987 in Wheatridge, Colorado and left us on May 19, 2021 in Denver, Colorado.

Andrew spent the first part of his childhood in Cortez, Colorado and his teenage years in Longmont, Colorado.  His fondness for shenanigans made teachers cringe when they saw his name on the classroom roster, but not soon after the school year ended did the stories become fond memories.  (Trust us, we still have many of the artifacts, including a student desk from Cortez Middle School, in storage.)  Andrew was oh-so-smart, and principled. He didn’t believe in rules for the sake of rules and always argued passionately for the ‘right thing’, the ‘logical thing’. A graduate of CU Boulder, he enjoyed a blend of entrepreneurial endeavors and consulting positions in operations for various political campaigns.

Andrew loved the outdoors, especially hiking and camping.  If that wasn’t feasible, a fire pit and a beer were the next best thing.  He also loved to travel and discover new places and cultures.  Taking Hannah camping and fishing for the first time were some of his favorite times.  Andrew was also an excellent cook–ask anyone who was lucky enough to have had one of his steaks.

Andrew always had your back and was there when you needed him. This inspired like loyalty in all those around him. He loved his people, and they loved him.  Anyone who spent time with Andrew felt special and has an ‘Andrew story’ to take with them. Our family holidays consisted of days (plural) of Andrew and Chrissy playing cribbage, movies, lots of laughter, and cherished time together.

He packed more into 33 years than most do in 80. He will be greatly missed by so many.

It brings us some comfort to believe Andrew was greeted by his dad, Rick, his brother, Christopher, his grandfathers Van and Jim, and grandmother Vivian.  We are pretty sure childhood dogs Sammy, Zena and Cindy were waiting as well.

He leaves his mom, Cheryl, sisters Carrie and Christina, niece Hannah, and grandmother Gigi to figure out how to navigate this world without him.

We have no doubt that Andrew and Rick are sipping a beer or whiskey next to a chiminea or campfire.  This isn’t ‘goodbye’, this is ‘we will see you soon’.
