Andrew J. Mata, age 28, of Hammond, IN, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Lilyana; parents, Edward and Laurie Mata; sister, Skyler; Lily’s mother, Sarah; grandmother, Irma (late Louie) Mata; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Andrew is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Adele and Carl Pilipovich; grandfather, Trinidad Martinez; uncles, Michael Mata and Richard Weber; and nephew, Adam Mata.
Andrew was a 2006 graduate of Gavit High School in Hammond, and was a proud Gladiator fan. He worked in the railroad industry for Electric Motors. Andrew had a passion for music. He loved to write music and play the drums. His favorite hang out with his band was Fifth Amendment. Andrew had a fierce love for his precious daughter, Lilyana.
