Obituary of Andrew J. Stewart
STEWART, Andrew J. “AJ” of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was 18 years old. AJ Stewart II was born on December 27, 1995 in Saginaw, Michigan to Andrew J. and the late Eva (Escamilla) Stewart.
AJ was a current student a Heritage High School, where he was a member of the Lacrosse Team. He was an avid skateboarder at Celebration Square Skate Park. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, AJ was able to meet Rob Dyrdek, which provided him the opportunity to star in an episode of MTV’s Fantasy Factory. AJ also played hockey in the Adray Community Hockey League (Saginaw).
AJ was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church, where he attended grammar school. Throughout his time at St. Helen, AJ participated in football, basketball and track. He also played baseball for the Saginaw Township North Little League. AJ was a former Boy Scout, winning the Pine Derby twice. He was proud to be the bags champ of “Tic Toc” Cottage on Delevan Lake in Wisconsin. He enjoyed disk golfing, as well as golfing with his father. He loved spending time with his friends, and especially his Nephews: Jakob, Brody and Myles. Above all, AJ loved and cherished his family. AJ will forever be remembered for his heart of gold, generosity and helping other people, often going out of his way to help make others happy.
Surviving are his Father and Stepmother, Andrew J. and Karen Stewart of Saginaw; Sisters, Jennifer Stewart of Saginaw and Nicole (Brett) Monville of Bay City; Brother, Jason Goss of Bay City; Step-Sisters: Kaily and Cassie Chritz of Saginaw; Three Nephews: Jakob, Brody and Myles; Grandmother, Millie Stewart of Chicago; two dogs, Krush and Chloe; and cat, Sabastian. Also surviving are many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in the Escamilla family of Bay City and the Stewart Clan of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Eva Stewart; Grandparents, Jesus and Augustina Escamilla, Grandfather, Dan Stewart; and a Niece, Faith Monville.
