Andrew Granville “Poppy” Buppert, 84 of Brick, NJ passed peacefully at home with family at his side on Friday, February 22, 2013. Born in Hobson, VA, he proudly served 21 years in the United States Coast Guard retiring as Master Chief. He continued his passion for boats with a 10-year career at Winter Yacht Basin and 28 years at Comstock Boat Works.
Andrew is predeceased by his 1st wife Eleanor Lucille and his 2nd wife Janis, his children Deborah Jones of Seaford, DE, Jeffrey of Moyock, NC, his brother Frank of Chuckatuck, VA, and his sister Ida Sacre of San Antonio, TX.
Surviving are his children Mike and his wife Midge of Sunbury, GA, Suzanne Casella and her husband Louis of Brick, NJ, Steven Driscoll of Union Square, NY, and his son-in-law Thomas Jones of Seaford, DE. Also surviving are his brother George and sister Carolyn Gleason of Carrollton, VA; his grandchildren Andrea Jones of Yardley, PA, Bryan Jones of Selbyville, DE, Hailey and Collin Casella of Brick, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
