Andrew Geiss, 74, beloved husband, father, teacher and coach, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, 3/04/11, after a hard fought battle with bladder cancer. Born in Detroit, 4/24/36, he later went to Notre Dame on a football scholarship, then after an injury transferred to Western State where he met his bride, Mildred. Andy and Millie married 11/07/59. Andy was an avid sports enthusiast, beloved teacher and tough basketball/ football/baseball coach at TJ High in Denver, upon retirement he became a 3.5 fixture on the tennis courts around Colorado and the country. Andy will always be remembered for his gentleness, generosity, love of the outdoors, and even-tempered, unwavering dedication to his wife, children, cherished friends, and especially his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife Mildred Geiss of Littleton and children; Catherine Allen of TX, Kevin Geiss of CO, Kelly Fink of AZ, and Christopher Geiss of CO, as well as 2 grandchildren, Jessica and Connor.
