Andrew F. Herrera, 69, lifelong resident of Tularosa, passed away, Tuesday, February 09, 2010 in Alamogordo.
He worked for forty six years as a Photo Optic Technician at Holloman High Speed Test Track.
Andrew loved camping, hunting and riding horseback, but most of all he was an avid gardener and church attendee.
He is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Ester Gomez Herrera; son, Ray and wife Annette of Tularosa; daughters Kathy Westfall and husband Peter of Las Cruces and Patricia Moheit of Tularosa. His is survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Herrera, Ethan Moheit, Deanna Herrera, Eddy Ray Herrera and Cashmere Moheit. He is also survived by his brother Henry Herrera and sisters Clara Oliver and Irene Kowatch.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Herrera, Sr. and Andrea; brothers, Paul, Nestor, Ray and sister Bessie Davis. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jack Moheit.
The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2010 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church by Vivian Lueras and Cecilia Garcia.
