Andy was born to the late Clara and Ernest Desrochers. His proudest accomplishment was the family he built with his wife of 73 years, Mildred, which included 12 children; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his beloved brother Roger and many nieces and nephews.

Andrew proudly served his country during WWII as a piolet with the United States Army Air Corps, then worked at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft where he was involved in the development of the first jet fighter aircraft. He worked at Pratt and Whitney until his retirement. Andy also spoke fondly of his time farming with his parents and then on Skiff Mountain Farm. He was an animal lover and opened his home to dozens of abandoned cats over the years. Andrew played horseshoes for 60 years in the Wiek Towne League and was known affectionately as “Pappy” by its members. He will be missed by all who loved him.
