Born June 10, 1970 to the parents Johnnie Mae Strother Black and Cleveland Black of Uniontown, Alabama.
He graduated from Robert C. Hatch High School and received his Bachelor Degree from Alabama State and his Master’s Degree from Syracuse University in New York.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Uniontown, Alabama.
He had an extensive career as a civilian with the Department of Army that extended over 25 years.
He loved his family, friends and coworkers and would do whatever was required to make a positive difference in their lives.
He was predeceased by his mother, Johnnie Mae Strother-Black; his father, Cleveland Black; one sister: Aundria Black-Jenkins; one niece, Latasha W. Scott; one nephew, Mark Anthony Beaton; three uncles: Walter Strother, Albert Strother and James Strother; five aunts: Olivia Flemings, Mary Black, Henrietta Franklin, Ella Brewer and Juanita Holmes.
He leaves to treasure his memories three brothers: Cleveland Black, Jr. (Rosie), Henry L. Black all of Uniontown, Alabama and Curlee C. Black (Carolyn) of Smith, Alabama; four sisters: Ann Black (Bernard) of Chicago, Illinois, Lucile B. Scott of Madison Alabama, Debera Beaton (Ben) of Round Lake Heights, Illinois and Christine Burrell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his stepmother: Lola Black of Uniontown Alabama; three uncles: William Henry Black of Detroit, Michigan, Lou David Strother of Uniontown, Alabama and Willie R. Strother (Patricia) of Detroit Michigan; two aunts: Everneal Abby and Lucinda Strother both of Uniontown Alabama; a host of nephews, nieces, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
