Andrea Stoddard Rodriguez, 34, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was a Spanish teacher at Phillipsburg High School, and was the wife of Johnny Rodriguez, Jr., with whom she shared over four loving years of marriage. Born in Allentown, Andrea was the daughter of Thomas Grant Stoddard of Dillsburg, PA and Louise Stoddard of Allentown. She attended Whitehall High School where she was a member of the varsity swim team. Andrea attended West Virginia University, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Spanish and a Masters degree in Education. She taught Spanish at Allentown Central Catholic High School in Allentown, PA for 4 years and later at Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, NJ. In 2010, Andrea married Johnny Rodriguez, Jr., a Pennsylvania State Trooper, from Bethlehem, PA where they lived for the past 5 years. Andrea was passionate about her two dogs, Lulu and Chulo, and she was an enthusiastic animal lover, rescuing many stray dogs and cats over the years. She also had a beautiful collection of orchids adorning her home. Survivors: Her survivors include her husband Johnny; parents and step-mother; brother Stephen J. Stoddard, and many, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
