Ana Breton Turner, 65, peacefully passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.
Ana was born on April 9, 1956, in Havana, Cuba. At the age of 5, her family was forced to flee Castro’s Communist regime, to build a new life in Palatka.
She was a 1974 graduate of Palatka South High School and received her Associate of Science degree from St. Johns River Community College.
Ana was employed for many years at Reid’s TV, followed by time at Florida Furniture, and most recently at the Putnam County Tax Collector’s office.
Ana, affectionately known as “Twirla” or “Ana Banana,” was married to the love of her life, Jerry Turner, for 36 wonderful years. She enjoyed the beach and most of all spending time with her beloved family.
Ana was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Noelia Breton, her son, Travis Jordan Turner, and her best friend, Jody Rakes.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Turner; daughter Natalie Smith (CD); grandsons Grayson and Gunner Smith; brothers Joe Breton (Sydney), Richard Breton (Ronda), and David Breton (Patricia); sisters-in-law Kendall Johnson and Michelle Taylor (Jim); brother-in-law Mike Turner (Teresa), and numerous nieces and nephews.
