Amy Elizabeth Thompson Curran, age 42, of Fairfield, beloved and devoted mother of Bailey Curran and Maya Knutson, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of Ellen Kohnke Thompson of Fairfield and the late Robert Thompson, she had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of Fairfield High School and received her BS Degree and a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Fairfield University. Amy was a math teacher in both the Fairfield and Bridgeport school systems. She and Maya were devoted volunteers for T.A.I.L.S., an alliance to eliminate stray cats. Amy was a skilled educator with impeccable organizational skills.
