Amy R. Meehan, 34, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. She was born July 19, 1980, in Bloomington the daughter of Ed Kindred and Janelle Kindred, and they survive. She married Thomas D. Meehan IV on Sept. 15, 2007, in Jacksonville, and he survives.

She is also survived by her daughter, Gabriella R. Meehan, and son, Thomas D. Meehan V, both at home; five brothers and two sisters, Paul (Bobbi) Kindred of Jacksonville, Floyd (Kelly) Kindred of New Berlin, Grant (Robin) Kindred of Springfield, Jake (Melissa) Kindred of Rochester, Jenny (Tony) Terwelp of Quincy, Bobby Kindred (fiancé Katie Treece) of Jacksonville, and Ellie (Jason) Koenig of St. Charles, MO; maternal grandparents, Paul and Helen Stewart of Waverly; paternal grandmother, Connie Kindred of Jacksonville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Bernard Kindred.

Amy was a 1999 graduate of Routt Catholic High School. In 2004, she graduated from Illinois College. While there she played on the soccer team and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Following graduation, she began work for the Illinois Department of Human Services. Amy was a member of the Church of Our Saviour. She enjoyed playing Mother’s Volleyball. She especially loved caring for and spending time with her children and her nieces and nephews. Amy had a very big heart and would go out of her way to help others.
