Amy Firth, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, passed away on November 26, 2012, in Temple, Texas. Amy was born in Temple, June 15, 1974, and grew up in Copperas Cove, Texas, where she attended school from kindergarten through high school.
She was a varsity cheerleader and member of the National Honor Society at Copperas Cove High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and later completed a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology at Baylor University. Amy married her high school sweetheart Michael Jarrod Firth on December 30, 1994, in Copperas Cove, Texas. She was employed as a speech pathologist at Kidz Therapez in Killeen, Texas, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belton, Texas. She enjoyed reading, writing and editing; working with children; loved to spend time with her family; and was an avid gymnastics and baseball mom.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Michael Firth; her son Matthew, 11; and her daughter Alyssa, 8; all of Belton. She is also survived by her parents John and Margaret Henderson of Belton; a sister, Valarie Fratiani and her husband Tony, of Allen, Texas; father and mother-in-law John and Jean Firth of Copperas Cove; a grandfather, David Stults of Allen, Texas; nephew Michael Fratiani and niece Annalisa Fratiani of Allen; brother-in-law Edward Firth and wife Summer and nieces Kate, Molly, and Addison Firth all of Sacramento, California.
