Amuro “Potchie” Cardoza
Norwich- Amuro “Potchie” Cardoza 83, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
He was born in Norwich on August 16, 1930 son of the late Manuel Senhernia (Gomes) Cardoza. Mr Cardoza served his country honorably for 22 years in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he worked for 32 years as a Material Tech Aide at the Electric Boat Co. in Groton. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Norwich.
Potchie is survived by a daughter Alila Barr of St. Louis, MO., four grandchildren Brady Barr, IV, Brigette Barr, Brittney Barr and Braylen Barr, a brother Manuel and his wife Jeanette Cardoza, Jr. of Preston, two sisters, Mary Silva of Norwich and Mildred Cardoza of Norwich and a good friend John Porretta and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
