Amparo E. Monzon, 68, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, June 24, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was born in Huehuetenongo, Guatemala on November 10, 1950, daughter of the late Eugenio and Fidelina (Merdia) Monzon. Amparo spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved the Lord and reading her Bible. Amparo enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved gardening, shopping, cooking, listening to music and doing laundry which was very important to her.

Amparo is survived by her son, Bill Oliva and wife Sydney of Southside, Arkansas; grandchildren, Adrian Kane Oliva and Tristen Ryder Oliva; sisters, Cony Monzon of Batesville, Arkansas and Lupita Monzon of Guatemala City, Guatamala and brothers, Humberto Monzon, Bartolome Monzon and Hugo Monzon all of Guatemala City, Guatemala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugenio and Fidelina Monzon; sister, Bertilda Monzon and brother, Marco Tulio Monzon.
