Americo “Rico” LoConte formerly of Winthrop passed away at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester on March 18, 2022. He was 94 years old. Born in Boston he was the beloved son of the late Maryann (Lombardi) and Antonio LoConte. A resident of Winthrop for many years he worked as an oil delivery man for LoConte Oil and worked for the Winthrop DPW on the trash truck. Rico also helped out at the Pizza Center folding boxes, sweeping the floor and grinding the cheese.
He was wonderfully cared for by the staff at the Bay Cove group home in Hyde Park where he was residing at the time of his passing.
He was the dear brother of Carmella Luizza and the late Angelo and John LoConte. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
